Family Resource Centre are organizations that offer a variety of resources and supports to families in he community, either on-site/or in outreach facilities. Centres may operate on an independent basis (not connected to a sponsoring body) and/or work as in informal neighborhood group. Some are "hub" models, which include a variety of family support services (day care centre - family home child care - resource library - drop-in programs - nursery school - training or child care providers and child care registries.)
Most centres operate from government funding and services are free.
