About The Program

The Sackville Family Day Care program places children in approved Family Day Care homes.
These homes may be located throughout the Sackville/Bedford/Fall River areas.
Children are admitted into the program from ages 8 weeks to 12 years based
on an admissions criteria set by the Board of Directors.
"Caregivers" are the people who have been through an assessment process and look after the
children during the hours of care needed by the parent.
Caregivers are considered self-employed and they work out of their own homes.
Parents, children, and the caregivers are carefully matched according to individual needs.
Trained, qualified staff monitor the homes, providing assistance in program planning,
information on relevant child care issues, as well as support to the children and the caregiver.
Staff also work with the parents to ensure their child care arrangement is beneficial to all involved.
