The
Memory Lane Family Place is located at 22 Memory Lane in Lower Sackville and
has been delivering programs and services since early 1994.
All
projects and programs are sponsored by the Sackville Family Day Care
Association, a non-profit charitable organization, established in 1980. It is governed by a volunteer board of
directors. Projects are
administered from the Family Place, under the direction of highly trained and
qualified staff.
Parent
advisory committees support program management. Participant involvement and community partnerships are core
elements in service delivery. The
centre works from a capacity building perspective, where children and families
are embraced in a supportive environment.
Projects
offered from the MLFP include the Family Home Day Care Program – the Family
Support Project – the provincially-licensed Memory Lane Family Place Preschool
– and the Community Action Program for Children.
All programs are free of charge, with the exception of the subsidized Family Home Day Care and the Preschool Programs.
